Helping Students Succeed

The Irving K Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society provides scholarships and awards to help post-secondary students achieve their educational goals.  Several different programs are offered, each designed to respond to the needs of specific student groups. 
 
Applications for the following programs can be accessed through this secure website:

  • Women in Technology/Indigenous Women in Technology Scholarship
  • Premier's International Scholarship
  • BC Indigenous Student Award (Apprentice, Certificate, Diploma or Undergraduate Degree)
  • BC Indigenous Masters/Doctoral Award
  • BC Indigenous Teacher Education Award
*As of September of 2018, the Society is discontinuing the use of the term “Aboriginal”, and adopting the more generally accepted term of “Indigenous” for its First Nations, Metis and Inuit focused programs

Deadlines
Applications for the BC Indigenous Student Awards are open now until Sunday, March 31, 2019.
Premier's International Scholarship applications will be made available early in 2019.
Women in Technology and Indigenous Women in Technology Scholarship applications will be available in March 2019.


Using the Online Form

If you are a new user, please create an account using the button on the right-hand side of the screen.  Once you log in with this account, you will be taken into the online application form. 

Your work is saved as you go.
  • At the bottom of each section of the online form is a "Save for Later" button to save your informationAs you progress to the next section, your work automatically saves. You may exit the online application form and return to it at any time before submitting.
  • Once you have completed the application form, you can continue to edit it until you submit your entire application. You can not submit your application for consideration until you have supplied all of the supporting components (as applicable: proof of ancestry, reference(s), and/or transcripts)
  •  All components of the application are completed online.
